Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.





The cult of beauty of the body, predominantly female, joy and fun with no middle ground may well define the carnival in Rio de Janeiro, the largest in the world. 


The Carnival is open to all, rich and poor, young and old, Brazilians and foreigners, whites, Indians and browns, blacks, all united in celebration. 


In the biggest party of the planet are bands, samba bands and look forward to all year the arrival of this date. 


The carnival tradition began to form in Brazil in 1723 with the arrival of immigrants portugueses.En 1846 was the first masquerade ball in 1852 he joined a group of drummers. 


in 1855 begins the formation of carnival clubs in 1932 the 
first parade took place informally, and it was only in 1935 that
saw the first official parade in the plaza once. in 1984 he led 
the gateway do samba, later renamed avenida two parades,
now called gateway professor darcy ribeiro, a world
renowned sambadrone. it has capacity for 62,000 people


there are several ways in the party are many, either within
a school, or as a spectator encouraging your favorite schooling, jumping, singing and dancing for an hour and
twenty minutes that it lasts the passage of each group 
along avenida marques de sapucai, from its inception to
the apotheosis square. just dress up as anything


all this place in two nights, seven samba schools parade
on sunday and seven on monday
